Marriage Moments: A Doorway Into Your Partner’s Soul?

praying together as a couple

Marriage Moments will include questions and/or exercises to start conversations. They will provide an an opportunity to know yourself and your partner better. Check in with your LifeMate to see if this is a good time for them to answer these questions. If it is not a convenient time schedule a later time that would work for both of you. When you are the listener, show up with an interested and curious attitude. Be careful not to interrupt. After one of you has answered the questions, turn the tables and give the other partner their chance.

Have fun getting to know each other better!

Often couples are uncomfortable praying with each other. It seems weird and anxiety producing… maybe just too intimate.

Discuss together whether you’d be willing to try this as a couple.

Prayer Walking: Walking With Purpose

Abraham walked with God. Noah walked with God. Enoch walked with God. What might happen if you and your LifeMate walked together with God?

Go on a walk together and talk about the concerns on your heart. If one of you voices a topic, the other one prays about it as you walk. Take turns bringing up issues and praying for each other’s concerns. We suggest you walk and pray with your eyes open.

Suggestion: At the end of your walk, grab a cup of coffee together or stop for something to eat.
