Wisdom From The Word:

“God is love. When we take up a permanent residence in a life of love, we live in God and God lives in us. This way, love has the run of the house, becomes at home and mature in us, so we’re free of worry on Judgment Day- our standing in the world is identical with Christ’s. There is no room in love for fear. Well-formed love banishes fear. Since fear is crippling, a fearful life- fear of death, fear of judgment-is one not yet fully formed in love.

, though are going to love-love and be loved. First we were loved, now we love. He loved us first.” I John 4: 16-19 (The Message)

“Love never gives up.

Love cares more for others than for the self…

Love doesn’t force itself on others,

Is not always “me first”,

Doesn’t fly off the handle,

Doesn’t keep score of the sins of others, Doesn’t revel when others grovel…” – I Corinthians 13: 4-6 (The Message)

“Enjoy the wife you married as a young man!

Lovely as an angel, beautiful as a rose-

Don’t ever quit taking delight in her body.

Never take her love for granted!” – Proverbs 5:19 (The Message)

Keep Me Real Lord!

Lord, help us create an intimate life that is mutual, safe, chosen, connected, vulnerable, imperfect, playful and celebrative. Help me to face and own my fears so that they do not get in the way of our love relationship. Help me to grow in vulnerability as I learn to trust my partner. Make me willing to push through my anxiety, leave my comfort zone and love my mate as he/she needs to be loved.
