Impacting Our Mate’s Heart

Wisdom From the World

“Getting married, for me, was the best thing I ever did. I was suddenly beset with an immense sense of release, that we have something more important than our separate selves, and that it is the marriage. There’s immense happiness that can come from working towards that.” Nick Cave

“You never know when a moment and a few sincere words can have an impact on a life.” Zig Ziglar

“Chains do not hold a marriage together. It is threads, hundreds of tiny threads, which sew people together through the years.” Simone Signoret

Wisdom From the Word

We though are going to love-love and be loved. First we were loved, now we love. He loved us first. If anyone boasts, “I love God,” and goes right on hating his brother or sister (or husband or wife, Congo Counseling), thinking nothing of it, he is a liar. If he won’t love the person he can see, how can he love the God he can’t see? The command we have from Christ is blunt. Loving God involves loving people. You’ve got to love both.” I John 4:19-21 (The Message)

Keep Me Real, Lord!

Lord, the month of your birth is an incredibly busy month. Help me to remember to turn towards you and to turn towards my mate in the midst of all the extra tasks I have taken on during this Christmas season. Help me to make it a point to touch my mate’s heart in little ways, multiple times every day.”
